We'd like to give you a little knowledge of the process that goes into cleaning your air ducts. These are the steps we take in cleaning an average home.

1. First, we inspect the entire HVAC unit. We look in your attic, basement, crawl space, at each register in the home and inspect the furnace. This helps us to determine the best approach for the cleaning process.

2. We attach the large truck mounted vacuum to the system two times. Once on the return side and then again on the supply side.

3. A covering is placed over each duct opening which enhances the amount of vacuum and assists in keeping the home clean.

4. One by one each register is thoroughly cleaned. Time is spent cleaning each supply and return run and then the main trunks that feed them are cleaned.

5. The furnace, blower and A/C coil are cleaned.

6. Once everything has been cleand we then apply a sanitizing and deodorizing agent throughout the entire system.

7. Finally, all the register covers are replaced, the furnace is reassembled and restarted, and an inspection of the home is made to insure that everything is in its proper place.

The air duct cleaning takes approximately 3-4 hours on an average home. If you have any questions or concerns about the cleaning process, please feel free to call Ken at Quality Air at (260) 492-4AIR.
